This is the story of my first backpacking trip to the Adirondacks Mountain region. I hope you enjoy it!
P.S. I noticed a mistake I made. A lean-to is not a 3 room shack, it's a 3 wall shack. I also forgot to mention that it rained the first day and I had poison ivy at the time. :)

I liked your story. I have definitely had trips like that! So have you attempted to backpack again?
I've gone camping again. Technically I haven't backpacked, but I'm supposed to go this summer. My boyfriend bought me a tiny little (girly) backpack so it won't be so heavy, a lot of bug repellent, and a mosquito net hat. I hope there will be less crying on this trip! (I think I mentioned only crying once... I think I really cried about 25-50% of the time).
What a great story. I enjoyed listening to it very much. It reminded me of a similar trip in Yosemite with my then boyfriend/now husband. I thought he was kidding about camping until I saw the tent in the back of the rental car. Uh, oh. On our first night, we encountered a bear; and the next day, I found a bird-sized, black and yellow bee crawling on me as we drove along the winding roads of CA. Yikes!
